We’ve Entered a Drivers Shortage
Roughly two years ago, Trans-Bridge Lines experienced a driver shortage which subsequently led to frequently combined or cancelled bus runs. Since then, we have done our best to bring in qualified, safe drivers in an effort to continue service for all our passengers. Unfortunately, we are still recovering from this initial shortage and this comes with its obstacles.

Due to the nature of this job, hiring and retaining qualified drivers with good driving records and customer service skills is no easy feat. Recently, Trans-Bridge Lines lost a significant number of drivers for reasons beyond our control. In 2018 alone, (5) of our drivers have been placed on medical leave while we’ve lost others due to individual violations against the Department of Transportation (DOT). We have also had drivers resign to take on full-time work elsewhere.

Due to this, we’ve once again, begun cancelling and combining bus runs out of necessity.

That being said, we’d like to assure you that we’re digging in our heels and doing our best to bring in new drivers who will continue to provide the high standard of service we pride ourselves for.

We thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this difficult situation.
